This route will take you through the Central Florida hills. There are plenty of long tall rolling hills with straightaway roads and some sweeping turns (not really twisties, but room to twist the throttle). You will pass through the citrus groves (including some pick it yourself groves), skirt along the edge of Lake Dora,over the bridge over Lake Harris, and you will be treated to some great views from the hilltops.

The only hazard I encountered on this ride were some occasional patches of sand along Lakeshore Dr.
Places to stop:
There are some pick it yourself citrus groves along the route that are great to stop for a fresh treat (when they are ripe!). Mount Dora has some great Bar-B-Que places along the route, you can smell the cooking all over. You can find Lakeridge Winery and Stormy Hills Harley Davidson on 27.

From the Turnpike out of Orlando heading North, take the 429 North exit. 429 will turn into 441 (watch for the speed limit change!) When you get into Mount Dora take a left on N Donnelly. Take a right on Virginia Ave, that will follow the lake and turn into Lakeshore Dr. The road will veer away from the lake, then take a left onto 19 and follow it south through Howie in the Hills. When you get back to the Turnpike follow the signs to get to 27 South. Stay on 27 all the way to 192 then turn East (Left) to get back to I4, or you can follow 27 a little farther and it will run into I4.
