Beatuiful scenery. Lots of cliff, especially as you cross the rivers. Calico Rock is a great little town with a Ghost Town and a nice Park with Restrooms and picnic areas. The road between Mt. View and Melbourn is packed full of curves with beautiful mountaintop scenery as is Push Mt. Road. Mt. View has several nice places to eat as well as motels and resorts. Great starting point to travel the roads of Northern Arkansas.

The roads are full of sharp bends with little to no shoulders. If you are traveling to see the scenery, besure to run slow as you could miss be on another curve before you know it. Quite a few deer run these hills so you need to keep a close eye out for four legged critters. Roads are in pretty fair shape so ride is fun. Be sure to Gas up at one of the main stopping points and take water if weather is hot as it is sometimes 25 miles or more before the next stopping point.
Places to stop:
Mt. View is an entertainment point. Along this route you will find Blanchard Spring Caverns, The Ozark Folk Center, live music on the Mt. View historic Courtsquare, Norfork is a great fishing spot where the North Fork and White Rivers join. The scenery is wonderful. Be sure to take a camera as you will find some wonderful views and picture taking opportunities along the way.

Route:
1. Take Sylamore Ave/Hwy 9 through Mt. View to Hwy 5
2. Follow AR-5 to Calico Rock
3. At Calico Rock continue on AR-5 northwest through Old Joe and Norfork to AR-201N for approx 1 mile
4. Take the 1st left onto AR-341(Push Mt. Rd.) and continue south for approx 25 miles to AR-14.
5. Turn left on 14 and travel east for appx 17 miles back to the AR-14/9 junction. Nice resturant there.
6. Continue across 14 to AR-9 to Melbourne. Sonic and gas avail for quick stop.
7. At Melbourne, you will follow 9 until you come tto the main st and will take a right on AR-69S/Main. Continue appx 24 or 25 miles east on 69 to AR-58W through Guion and back down to AR-14.
8. Turn right on AR14/E. Main and continue back into Mt. View
