Surfside to Galveston

Halfway down on FM523 and the Intersection of FM2004, Turn Left on 2004 and right there on the right is a small Icehouse to stop and take a rest. Then, as you drive along the Seawall Blvd in Galveston, go past 61st to a great place called "The Spot" for a burger. And if you have time, when you come to Bacliff, just before Kemah, Turn Right at the light on Grand Ave (Main St) and go all the way down to a 4-way stop. Continue thru the intersection and follow the road as it turns to the left. One block down is Noah's Ark Bar & Grill.

Route:
Start at San Jacinto HD @ 3636 E Sam Houston Pkwy in Pasadena. Drive down feeder street to Fairmont Pkwy and Turn Left. Go to Space Center Blvd. and Turn Right. Follow Space Center all the way down to NASA Rd. 1 and Turn Right. Stay on NASA Rd 1 and keep to the right (do not get on the NASA Bypass Freeway, stay down on the feeder) and follow 528 West. As you come into Alvin, Turn Left on 35 South and go around Alvin. Stay on 35 and as you come up to Angleton, Turn Left on 523 South. Stay on 523 toward Freeport. Turn Left on 332 to go to Surfside. As you come over the bridge at Surfside, Turn Left at the light onto 257 (Bluewater Hwy) towards Galveston. Cross the toll booth into San Luis Pass and continue towards Galveston. Enter Galveston on Seawall Blvd and Turn Left on 61st Street to get back to Houston/Pasadena. Turn Left on Hwy 45 North. To get back to Pasadena, exit 45 on 146 / Hwy 3 towards Texas City and follow signs to Kemah. Go over the Kemah Bridge and Turn Left on NASA RD 1. Follow NASA Rd 1 until you get to Space Center Blvd and Turn Right. That takes you back to Fairmont Pkwy and Turn Left. From there, turn Right at the Beltway, go to the next light, make a U turn and your right back at San Jacinto HD.
Gas:
Gas stops are along the way, you never travel more that 20 miles without seeing one.
